First commercial flight lands after 10 week lockdown

Scores of returning nationals made up the majority of passengers on the first commercial flight back into Antigua last night after 10 weeks of Covid-forced border closures.

The American Airlines plane from Miami touched down at VC Bird International Airport on time at 11.15pm last night.

Observer media was there to capture its landmark arrival and welcome Antiguans and Barbudans who had been stranded overseas home.
