FC Aston Villa racked up a second straight victory in the Antigua and Barbuda Football Association (ABFA) Premier Division when they beat former back-to-back champions Parham FC 2-0 on Saturday following their week one victory over Swetes FC.

Playing in the first game of a triple-header at the ABFA technical center, Villa took the lead in as early as the 13th minute via a Joshua Ferdinand goal.

The strike carried the youthful Villa squad into the interval with a one-nil advantage before an 85th minute conversion from Jordan Francis ensured that all three points went to Villa.

In Saturday’s feature contest, All Saints United edged Empire FC 3-2. Shafeeq Joseph led the charge for All Saints with a double, scoring in minutes 33 and 45 while Nazir McBurnette secured the victory with a 53rd minute close range effort.

Shemar Scott and Rakeem Joseph were on target for the former 13-times champions Empire with goals in minutes 41 and 63 respectively.

Meanwhile, neighbours Old Road and SAP played to an exciting 3-3 draw.

Old Road took the lead on minute 10 via the first of two goals from Raheem Deterville before SAP’s Emerson Henry leveled the playing field at 1-1 with his 21st minute strike.

SAP then took control of the match, going 2-1 up via a Javaughn Parker 63rd minute goal before veteran Stefan Smith brought Old Road back into the contest on minute 77 to make it 2-2 from the penalty spot.

Deterville completed his brace with an 86th minute strike to put Old Road on top with just minutes of regulation time left in the 90 minutes contest, but a Tesfa Simmons goal two minutes into injury time meant that both teams would leave the contest with only a point  each.
