A 31-member preparatory squad has been named by the Antigua and Barbuda Football Association (ABFA) as they get set to host League B, Group D in the Concacaf Nations League slated for September 7-10 at the FA Technical Centre on the Sir Sydney Walling Highway.
The squad is bolstered by the addition of regional and UK based players with the final squad set to be announced on September 2.
Headlining the selections is Grenades FC goalkeeper Zaieem Scott. He is joined by Jayden Martin, Shahoi Dorsett, Brent Parker and Meyer Bailey, defenders Vashami Allen, Marques Lewis, Kerion Richards, Jahzime Barthley, Zaire Scott, Roneba Cordice, Zafique Drew, Cordel Roberts and Jayden Francis are also included.
Midfielders Jahzihno O’ Garro, Shervon Phillip, Sean Tomlinson, Tyrik Hughes, Quinton Griffith, Zahiem Green, Kendukah Challenger, Eroy Gonsalves, Kwame-Ture Kirby, Daryl Massicot, wingers D’Andre Bishop, Raheem Deterville, Tyrique Tonge and Wilden Cornwall Jr were also selected. Forwards Javorn Stephens, Keon Green and Shafeeq Joseph round off the selections.
The team will be coached by Mikele Leigertwood.
Antigua and Barbuda Benna Boys will host Bermuda, Dominica, and the Dominican Republic for double headers on September 7 and 10.
The first game of this group stage encounter will see Bermuda taking on the Dominican Republic followed by Dominica against hosts Antigua and Barbuda on September 7. On September 10, the final day, Dominican Republic will take on Dominica in the first encounter, followed by hosts Antigua and Barbuda taking on Bermuda.
