The LL Supply Ltd Island Boys Sports Club (IBSC) 20 over Tape Ball Classic 2024 saw a day of thrilling cricket on as the first round was bowled off on Sunday, August 25th, 2024

The day’s most explosive performance came from Brysons Shipping & Insurance Bullets in their match against PMS. Bullets amassed a staggering 322 for four in their 20 overs, featuring a breathtaking 155 from Essan Warner (13 fours, 14 sixes) and a half century from Deran Benta (98, including 9 fours and 9 sixes). PMS were bowled out in 12.1 overs and could only muster 88 for six in reply as they only fielded eight players, handing Bullets a commanding 234-run victory.

At Potters Playing Field, Pelican Safari/Nest Beach Bar & Restaurant VIP dominated their match against PEL Desi Boys, securing a massive 169-run victory. VIP posted an impressive 255 for eight in their 20 overs, with Elroy Francis Jr. leading the charge with a stellar 68. Bryan Bailey (39) and Demetri Lucas (33) provided solid support. In response, Desi Boys were bowled out for just 86, with Ozan Williams and Bailey each claiming two wickets for VIP.

The day’s controversy came in the match between Dredgers and GP Eagles, which ended prematurely. Eagles were bowled out for 108, with Kerry Mentore top-scoring at 43. Over at Powells Playing Field, Buckleys 3J’s clinched a 92-run victory over Mix Up. 3J’s posted 145 all out, thanks largely to Nigel Fergus‘s 49. Mix Up’s batting collapsed in response, managing only 53 runs. Zavear Otto led the 3J’s bowling attack with three for 28.
