ECAB stun Scotia, Jumby Bay remain perfect

ECAB continue to have an impressive season in the ongoing Antigua and Barbuda Amateur Volleyball Association (ABAVA) Business League.

The bank, who now sit in the second spot with a 6-1 record pulled off a big upset over Scotia bank on Wednesday night at the YMCA Volleyball Indoor facility.

The feature encounter went down to the wire as ECAB battled back after being down 1-0 in sets and facing a 2-0 defeat. They, however, managed to push to a final third set where with momentum on their side they edged out their rivals in red, winning 22-25, 25-21, 18-16.

With this loss, Scotia now hold a 3-5 record.

Meanwhile, defending champions, Jumby Bay still remain as the only undefeated team in the competition.

The champions did light work over Police, beating them in straight sets, 25-21, 25-18.

They now boast a 6-0 record while the lawmen are 4-3.

Games will continue on Saturday night, starting at 6:30 as Jumby Bay will play Sandals while, at 7:30, MEDSO will battle Scotiabank.
