National athlete and triple jumper, Alyssa Dyett, is the first to qualify for this year’s Carifta Games scheduled for April in Jamaica.
Dyett leaped a distance of 12.12 meters to eclipse the qualifying mark of 12:10 meters set by the Antigua and Barbuda Athletic Association.

The former Princess Margaret School (PMS) student achieved the feat during a recent development meet put on by the association at the YASCO Sports Complex.

Dyett is a member of the Paramount Performance Club and is coached by Marlon Mack.
