Zamine Shipping emerged as the day’s standout performer, securing two impressive victories in their double-header on Sunday in the Cool and Smooth Mandy Premier League at the Potters Playing Field.

The opening fixture between Buck and Sons Landscaping Services and Grill Box AGSPT ended in a draw due to a wet wicket, with both teams sharing the points.

The encounter between TG Welding and ABDF saw the former claim a convincing 29-run victory over the latter in the day’s second match. TG posted 109 for nine from their 10 overs, with Essan Warner (33) and Malik Jacob (30) leading the batting effort. ABDF’s Vaughn Charles three for one run and Tron Payne — two for 13 — impressed with the ball.

In reply, ABDF could only manage 81 for eight, with Edwin Jackson‘s35 and Kevin Pitman‘s 16 being the notable contributions. Hughan Tonge‘s remarkable spell of two wickets for one run in one over proved decisive for TG Welding.

Zamine Shipping then showcased their dominance with two consecutive victories. In their first match against ABDF, they successfully chased down 74 runs with seven wickets to spare. ABDF’s innings was anchored by Edwin Jackson (29) and Tron Payne (18), while Dorian Grant (2/5) and Andra Samuel (2/21) starred with the ball for Zamine. Tyrone Williams (28) and Kim George (22) guided Zamine to victory.

The final match saw them defeat Construction Solutions by 15 runs in a light-affected game. Zamine posted an impressive 120/2 in 10 overs, with Williams continuing his fine form with 44 runs, supported by George (32), Damon Valentine (20), and Mervin Higgins (17).

Construction Solutions managed 44/1 in 4.3 overs when bad light stopped play, with Melvin Charles scoring 25 and Clarence Francis 12. The match was decided by comparing scores at the 4.3-over mark, where Zamine had scored 59 runs compared to Construction Solutions’ 44.
