The Cool and Smooth Joma Ministry of Sports divisional matches saw a mix of competitive matches and unfortunate forfeitures on Wednesday that saw victories for defending Champions PMS, CHSS and ASC.

In the Under-16 category, Princess Margaret School (PMS) dominated their fixture against Clare Hall Secondary School (CHSS), securing a convincing 4-0 victory. Jahmarie George led the scoring with a double, while Shumba Thomas and Hakeem Musah each contributed a goal to complete the rout.

Another match featured the Antigua Grammar School (AGS) and St Joseph’s Academy (SJA) played to an entertaining 1-1 draw. Chase Joseph found the net for AGS, while Ajabe Rae equalised for SJA in a well-contested match.

The day’s schedule was unfortunately marred by two forfeitures. In the Under-14 division, Clare Hall Secondary School was awarded three points after Sir Novelle Richards Academy (SNRA) defaulted their match. Similarly, in the Under-20 category, Antigua State College (ASC) received three points following Irene B. Williams Secondary School’s (IBWS) failure to field a team.

In the ABFA Second Division, the CPTSA Wings SC claimed a compelling 5-0 victory over Young Warriors FC in ABFA Second Division action at the Johnsons playing field on Tuesday.

Joshua Lake led the scoring charge with a brace, finding the net in the 7th minute to open the scoring and adding his second in the 59th minute. Kiandre Christopher extended Wings’ lead in the 19th minute, ensuring a comfortable advantage heading into halftime.

The second half saw Wings maintain their momentum, with Damorni Powell adding to the tally in the 66th minute. The rout was completed when Dow Southwell successfully converted a penalty kick in the 76th minute, sealing the emphatic 5-0 victory.
