The operators of Crusader Radio say Prime Minister Gaston Browne’s threat of a lawsuit over Ivena’s calypso song Nasty will not make them stop playing it.
Crusader Radio is aligned to the opposition United Progressive Party.
Hosts on a programme called the Power Hour today blasted the song on air in the very form which Browne says is defamatory.
The hosts say the lyrics are justified and are a repeat of the prime minister’s own words when he announced a venture capital fund which would have seen the collaboration of government and Browne’ wife’s charity, Share Incorporated.
Browne has denied the same allegations on numerous occasions and accused the opposition of smearing his name.
