Coolers dominance continues

Ottos Coolers continue to etch their names in the history books, as the young and vibrant team pushed their undefeated record to 11-0 in Division 2 of the Antigua and Barbuda Basketball Association (ABBA) league when they edged out H.U.F. Baldwin Braves 2, 61-56 in Ottos on Tuesday night.
Coolers gained promotion from Division 3 last season with a perfect record and are on their way to extending that undefeated record once more.
National junior player, Lincoln Weekes led the victors sinking 25 points with assistance from Javon Simon who netted 18 points and grabbedfiverebounds.
Danny Perez, also of Coolers, chipped in with 11 points, while teammates, Alexis Jackson and Daniel Perez dominated the boards grabbing a combined 22 rebounds.
Tristan Jacobs had 22 points for Braves 2 while teammate, Raji Thomas contributed with 12 points.
The west-side team now holds a 6-5 record.
Callaloo Cay Old Road Daggers pulled off a big win on Tuesday, edging out Harold Lovell Rockersville, 57-54.
Kevin Cornwall led the south-side team to their fifth win of the season with 16 points.
He was assisted by Kelvin “Shugy” Simon who netted 13 points and snatched 12 rebounds.
Teammate, Andy Bass chipped in with 13 points, 8 rebounds, five assists and five steals.
Samuel Brazier scored 14 points and grabbed seven  rebounds for Rockersville.
Former national player, Walton “Bundy” Christian contributed, sinking 11 points and grabbing nine  rebounds.
Kevin Joseph, also of Rockersville, grabbed 13 rebounds in a losing effort.
Rockersville now hold a record of five wins and five losses.
F and G Trading Cuties Ovals Ojays 3 pushed their record in Division 3 to 7-2 as they trounced Max Fernandez Gunnerz, 79-52 at the JSC Sports Complex.
National junior player, Delornje Jules led the Ojays with a game high 28 points and nine  rebounds.
He was assisted by another junior national player, Judah Ferris who sank 19 points, snatched 15 rebounds and had four  steals.
Adrian Constant and Cairon Davis dominated the boards as they grabbed a combined 21 rebounds.
Gunnerz’ Julian Henry had 12 points, while teammates Reginald “Reggi” Barnes and Sean Thomas contributed with 10 points and six assists and seven  rebounds and six  block shots. Gunnerz now hold a record of three wins and five losses.
The feature match-up at JSC saw Hon Gaston Browne PointVille Ballers suffer yet another loss, this time falling to Police Vertex, 48-43.
Vertex who now boast a record of seven  wins and three losses were led by Eugene Remo who sank 10 points.
Teammates, Isha Gore and DeAndre Punter chipped in with nine points and eight rebounds and 13 rebounds respectively.
Kyle Alexander had a game high 17 points, seven  rebounds and six steals for PointVille.
Vashawn Jarvis and Kaylen Thomas grabbed a combined 26 rebounds.
PointVille who were without key player, Trey Beazer, now hold a 1-9 record.
Games will continue today in the 1st Division as H.U.F. Baldwin Braves will face Yorks Crushers at 6:45 p.m., while at 8 p.m., Flyers Basketball will battle Freetown Travelers.
Both games will be played at the JSC Sports Complex.
