The search for 39-year-old Orden “Passo” David intensified yesterday as scores of volunteers, led by Dr Jacqui Quinn, President of the Concerned Citizens Group, conducted an extensive island-wide search starting from Caribbean Cinemas on Friars Hill Road.

David was last seen on Saturday, January 25, wearing a red vest and grey short jeans. He was driving a black Honda Fit motor car, registration number A60870. After several calls to his mobile phone went unanswered, a missing person report was filed at the Bolans Police Station on Sunday.

Search teams covered much of Antigua’s northern region, including Crosbies, Hodges Bay, Cedar Grove, and Thibous, extending to the V C Bird International Airport area and Sir Vivian Richards Stadium. The operation also encompassed eastern villages including Pares Village, Long Bay, Willikies, and Glanvilles.

During the search, volunteers experienced a brief scare when they detected a foul odor. The Antigua and Barbuda Defence Force’s (ABDF’s) drone unit was promptly deployed to investigate, but the source turned out to be animal remains.

The ABDF has been providing crucial support throughout the operation, particularly through their drone unit’s surveillance of difficult-to-access areas.

“We are resolute. We’re determined that we are going to bring Orden home,” declared Dr Quinn, emphasizing the community’s unwavering commitment. She issued a heartfelt appeal for broader community participation: “We are encouraging individuals, civic organizations, churches, everybody to come and assist us in finding our brother.”

The search will resume today at 8:30am, with volunteers meeting at the Townhouse Megastore Plaza. Teams plan to focus their efforts on the island’s southern region, spanning the area from Fig Tree Drive and beyond.

Dr Quinn also announced that a $10,000 reward has been offered for information leading to the safe return of “Passo”.
Anyone with information about David’s whereabouts is urged to contact the Bolans Police Station at 462-1080 or the Criminal Investigations Department at 462-3913.
