The committal hearing for four women who attacked and wounded Denatalee Nicholson at a pool party in September 2018, has been pushed to next week.

On Monday, Dalianne Richardson, Shanique Dwyer, Larsheka Gray and Shimmea Welsh appeared in the All Saints Magistrate Court for their committal hearing, but the hearing was adjourned because Magistrate Ngaio Emmanuel-Edward’s was absent due to illness.

On September 26th 2018, the four young women were involved in an incident which left the 20-year-old victim with multiple stab wounds from broken bottles about her body.

The quartet was therefore charged with wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm

The prosecution filed submissions on Friday in response to the defence, and the magistrate needs time to review it. Therefore an adjournment was inevitable despite her being ill. The new date for the hearing is September 9th.
