Ottos Clippers opened their Division 2 campaign with a 65-42 triumph over Pointville Ballers when they met at the JSC basketball court on Tuesday.
Clippers dominated the contest throughout, outscoring their opponents 20-9 in the opening quarter before dominating the second quarter 23-12. The teams were equally matched 6-6 in a low-scoring third quarter before Clippers edged Ballers 16-15 in the fourth and final quarter.
Joshua Salmon led the scoring with 19 points while Amare Browne and Antoine Browne contributed with 17 and 14 points respectively. Kyle Alexander led the scoring for Pointville Ballers with 15 points while grabbing seven rebounds. Cedric Henry contributed with eight points and 10 rebounds also in the losing effort.
Meanwhile, newcomers Project forfeited to Fearless Crew also in Division 2.
