A young Bendals resident, Clarence Cameron, has been committed to potentially stand trial for the murder of Omarrie Graham.

Graham’s lifeless body was discovered on May 5 2024, lying on the western side of the road near St Luke’s Anglican Church in Bendals.

A forensic examination revealed multiple fatal stab wounds, including injuries to the left side of his neck, left forearm, and left wrist.

Authorities allege that the murder stemmed from an altercation on Middle Road near the former Free Style Friday Dance venue.

According to reports, 17-year-old Graham was involved in a confrontation with Cameron who subsequently fled the scene after inflicting the fatal injuries.

Cameron was charged with murder and has appeared multiple times before Magistrate Ngaio Emanuel.

On December 10, his case was formally sent to the High Court for him to be arraigned during the May assizes.

If he pleads not guilty then he will have to stand trial.
