As the Rotary Club of Antigua continues to establish a number of corporate partnerships in efforts to meet the needs of the community, the CIBCFirst Caribbean International Bank is the latest establishment to support a major initiative.

On Friday, the bank’s Country Manager, Ladesa  James-Williams presented a cheque in the sum of $15,000 to the President of the Rotary Club of Antigua’s, Kevin Silston, at Rotary House.

The amount will cover four months of the Club’s signature Meals on Wheels Programme which provides dry goods and toiletries for 108 individuals.

In explaining the rationale behind the donation, James-Williams said, “We are very happy and thankful that we can be associated with a project of such significance. We are very pleased that we were able to answer a need, when we were approached by the Club. We look forward to future collaborations and we applaud and support the work of the Club with its numerous community-based initiatives.”

In response, Kevin Silston expressed thanks to the financial institution for coming forward to assist with the programme.

“The Rotary Club of Antigua remains committed to its motto “Service Above Self.” We are thankful for any assistance that will help in meeting our goals of servicing the community.  There are 108 persons who benefit from the programme on a monthly basis, and the assistance from the CIBCFirst Caribbean International Bank will go a long way as we meet our objectives in this regard.”
