Child injured in mid morning fire

A child, said to be about 13 years old, was rushed to hospital around 9:30 this morning after he sustained burns to the upper and lower body.
His injuries are described as “very” serious and he was having difficulty breathing when he staggered out of the house.
An eyewitness said his hands, feet and chest area appeared to have been most affected.
