Cassada Gardens man found dead by cricket stadium

The body of a man lying in a pool of blood was discovered behind the Sir Vivian Richards Cricket Stadium early on Friday morning.

He was later identified as Kelsi Cain, 27, of Cassada Gardens. Cain was last seen alive on Thursday afternoon, around 4.45pm.

Police were alerted shortly after 1am yesterday by a passerby who came across Cain lying on the road leading to the back of the sporting venue.

Sources told Observer that the victim, who was wearing short jeans and multicolored boxers, had multiple gunshot wounds.

He was pronounced dead at 2:39am.

Police are investigating and are urging anyone with information to contact the Parham Police Station at 463-2060 or the Criminal Investigations Department at 462-3913.
