Investigations are continuing into the cause of a blaze that destroyed a car at Judges Hill before dawn this morning.
The vehicle, belonging to a car rental company, was parked outside of a house, at the time of the fire.
A witness and resident in the area, J’moul Francis says the explosion woke him from a deep sleep.
The incident occurred around 3 a.m.
He says just Sunday gone, someone tried to steal another neighbour’s car, but failed because the steering wheel was locked. However, the car rolled away, into another neighbour’s yard and was damaged.
Following on from that incident, this morning’s fire has Francis on edge.
This is the 13th car fire to which the fire department has responded this year.
