Two women and two men charged in connection with several drug-related offences have pleaded not guilty, and all but one of them got bail pending their trial.

The accused – Iaschelles Ryan, Stacy Ann Brown, Shaquille Gabriel and Leontine Mack – appeared before Magistrate Ngaio Emanuel-Edwards in the All Saints Magistrate’s Court on charges of possession, supplying, and possession with intent to transfer two-and-three-quarter pounds of cannabis to other people.

After they pleaded not guilty, Brown and Mack were each granted $15,000 bail with a $7,500 cash component. Gabriel was also offered $15,000 bail, but without a cash requisite.

They were each required to get two sureties to sign for them, so as to assure the court that they will return on July 17 for trial.

While on bail, they are required to report to the Johnson’s Point Police Station every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday. Another bail condition was that they had to surrender their passports to the court.

Ryan – convicted two months ago for possession of a firearm and marijuana, and still paying the fines for these offences – was denied bail on the latest allegations.

The four accused were busted on April 1 during a law enforcement operation in Jennings.
