The general public is being encouraged to come on out for a night of fun and entertainment and lots of basketball, as the Cool and Smooth Business League will be hosting their All-Star Day event dubbed “Bring ya biggest Cooler and Come Ball” on Saturday evening.
One of the players competing in the league, Humroy Wright, gave the encouragement during a recent appearance on the Good Morning JoJo Sports show.
“We are getting ready for the big cooler All Star night. I just want to encourage everyone to pack up their coolers and come on out with their friends and family. We are going to have a lot of entertainment. I actually have a show coming up, so I plan on walking with some of the local talent; so come on out and watch them perform.
“It’s going to be a lot of action happening on the 22nd and you have to come through to see what a go on. Me can’t tell you, you have to just be there to see the atmosphere and see the action,” Wright said.
The event, which is making its return after a two-year hiatus, will see representatives from the 14 teams take part in a number of competitions.
“We have three-point shoot-out, you have skills challenge, two-man shoot-out, the All-Star game itself and even the slam dunk competition,” Wright added.
The event will shoot off at JSC Spots Complex at 6:30pm; admission is $10.
