The Pigotts Bullets, Parham FC and All Saints United were triumphant over the weekend in their Antigua and Barbuda Football Association Premier League encounters at the ABFA Technical Centre. Bullets secured three nil victory over Willikies Warriors in the first game on Sunday’s triple header. After a goalless first half, the game came to life with second-half goals from Tyrique Thwaites who scored a penalty in the 52nd, before Isaac Hughes and Akeem Isaac scored in the 60th and 74th.
The second match of the afternoon featured Parham FC claiming a three to one victory against Greenbay Hoppers FC. Nicquan Phillips scored gave the victors the lead five minutes before halftime. Three minutes after the break, Kenja Benjamin (48′) found the back of the net while Andy Daniel (66′) scored the final goal for the men from east. The final goal was a consolation goal scored by Javorn Stevens who netted for Hoppers.
Fans were treated to a blockbuster match to close out the evening, as All Saints United edged John Hughes FC three to two in an eventful match. Bryan Daniel gave John Hughes the lead in the 18th minute, but All Saints responded through Raheem Deterville who was able to successfully put away a penalty in the 41st to draw them level and D’Andre Bishop gave them the lead in the 45+1′ minute. With a first half lead of two goals to one, United extended the lead to three by way of Dorien Cole in the 53rd, and despite John Hughes Tyrece Green’s red card in the 74th in which he was booked for denying an obvious goal scoring opportunity, Devontae Looby’s late goal in the 86th was not enough as All Saints held on for the win.
