Pigotts Sports Club secured their spot in the Parham Super League finals after an exciting semi-final victory over Garden Stars on Wednesday.
The match was a rollercoaster of emotions, with multiple lead changes keeping spectators on the edge of their seats.
Garden Stars drew first blood when Jevaughn Jarvis found the net in the 33rd minute, giving his team a 1-0 advantage at halftime.
Pigotts, however, refused to back down.
Akeem Isaac, who would later prove crucial to the outcome, equalised in the 65th minute.
The deadlock was short-lived as Jahred Williams put Garden Stars back in front in the 73rd minute.
But Pigotts’ resilience shone through once again when Jamarlie Steven levelled the score at 2-2 shortly after.
In a fitting climax, Man of the Match Isaac sealed Pigotts’ victory with a decisive goal in the 80th minute.
This 3-2 win propels Pigotts into the final, where they’ll face Freemans Village, who earned their place by defeating Willikies 2-1 on Sunday.
The stage is now set for a thrilling finale. Pigotts will battle for the championship title this Saturday at 6:30pm at the Parham Football Field.
Football fans are eagerly anticipating what promises to be a memorable showdown.
