On Sunday, the country’s top tier league showcased a flurry of goals, as Pigotts Bullets and Aston Villa FC demonstrated their offensive strength with convincing victories at the ABFA Technical Center.
The first match was a derby between the Pigotts Bullets and Potters Tigers in which the former won four goals to one. Tigers were under the pump from the get go as Bulletshad already established control through quick-fire goals from Xavier Smith and Shafeeq Joseph in the 9th and 11th minutes respectively. However, Watendy Grayman struck back in the 13th minute to offer some respite making the match 2-1. With the coming to an end, Akeem Isaac sealed the win with two stoppage-time strikes to end the game 4-1.
FC Aston Villa matched Bullets’ scoring output with an impressive 4-0 win at Attacking Saints FC. Kwame Kirby opened the scoring in the 14th minute before Joshua Ferdinand dominated the second half with a brilliant hat-trick, netting in the 46th, 56th, and 61st minutes to complete a comprehensive victory.
