Double murder convict, Calvin ‘Burga’ James, has been sentenced to life in prison without the possibility for release.
The ruling was handed down earlier this afternoon in the High Court.
James was found guilty of two counts of murder and other charges.
On October 5, 2018, the 57-year-old Perry Bay man murdered his niece, Tahisha Thomas and his nephew’s fiancée Sanchezca Charles, and shot his nephew, Lawrence James, with intent to murder him.
He was also convicted for possession of a firearm and possession of ammunition, all of which occurred at Donovans. Additionally, he was accused of larceny of a .38 special revolver valued $5,000 and six rounds of .38 ammunition.
