Protesters from the Barbuda Peoples Movement (BPM) are currently leading a picket outside of the Barbuda Council office, to demonstrate  what they describe as a lack of progress and stagnation on the sister island.
The five elected members to the council say they are not happy with the current leadership of the Antigua and Barbuda Labour Party  (ABLP) led council.
BPM Council Member Kendra Beazer says nothing significant has happened since the March 23 council elections.

Beazer says the party the was also informed that several development projects were to come on stream shortly but no sort of documentation has been forthcoming.
He says the BPM has written several letter requesting documents but no one has responded.
Beazer says the people  of Barbuda need to stand up and speak out.
