A head-on collision involving two vehicles travelling in opposite directions on All Saints Road yesterday afternoon, left two occupants nursing serious injuries after they narrowly escaped with their lives.
The accident took place at around 2:30 pm in the vicinity of Europa Hardware, involving a dark grey Toyota Prado A 811 said to be heading West, while a white Chevy Express C16727 was heading in an easterly direction.
Although the police had not released an official report at the time of going to press, it is alleged that while making a manoeuvre to avoid a pothole, the driver of the Chevy Express lost control of his vehicle and swerved into the opposite lane and collided with the Prado.
