Black Lightning trounce Tigers in Netball league

S.W. Electronics Black Lightning trounced Massy United Grays Green Tigers, 20-13, at the YMCA Sports Complex in the C Division of the Antigua and Barbuda Netball Association (ABNA) league on Saturday night.
Black Lightning outplayed their much smaller opponents in all four quarter as Meekelia Monroe sank 15 of her 23 attempts.
Teammate, Jonelly Encarnacion chipped-in, making 5 of her 8 attempts.
United’s Ianthea Lawrence made 7 of her 10 attempts while Drucella Laville netted 4 of her 8.
Teammate, Ashley Andre scored 2 of her 5 attempts in a losing effort.
Stingray Stingers U16 had the better of their younger team, Stingray Stingers U13, defeating them 18-5.
Shania Limerick sank 7 of her 21 attempts for the victors with assistance from Tekiah Minnot who also made 7 of her 13 attempts.
Ronessa Softleigh, also of Stingers U16, netted 4 of her 8 attempts.
Zenique Nicholas made 3 of her 8 while teammate, Izzarea Lloyd chipped-in with 2 points.
Games will continue on Tuesday in the A Division as Cool and Smooth Pacesetters will face Sagicor Life Enforcers and Roof Masters Plus Attackers will battle Running Rebelz at 7 p.m.  At 8:30 p.m., Massy United Grays Green Tigers will play Hon. Michael Browne Black Lightning.
Also at 8:30 p.m. in the Mixed Division, Invincible Stars will meet Hon. Asot Michael Parham.
