Benna Youths lose opening encounter in Costa Rica

The national under-20 football squad suffered a 3-0 defeat at the hands of Mexico in Group A of this summer’s FIFA Under-20 World Cup.
Mexico was led by striker Ronaldo Cisneros who scored twice while defender Vashimi Allen scored an own-goal after a save from the Antiguan custodian Christian Corbett took a deflection off his body and flew into the net.
Antigua & Barbuda could have conceded a fourth goal in the latter stage of the contest but Corbett effected a save with his foot to deny Mexico.
Antigua & Barbuda will play Honduras on Monday.
