The Antigua and Barbuda U15 girls’ football team, affectionately known as the Benna Girls, have made their nation proud with an impressive showing at the Concacaf U15 Girls Championship. Their performance throughout the tournament demonstrated skill, determination, and teamwork.
In the group stage, the Benna Girls exhibited remarkable consistency, securing two draws and clinching one victory. This strong performance earned them a total of 5 points, placing them second in their group behind the group winners, Trinidad and Tobago, who finished with 7 points.
The team’s efforts in the group stage resulted in an overall ranking of 7th in Group B, a commendable achievement in this competitive tournament.
The Benna Girls’ journey didn’t end with the group stage. Their performance earned them a spot in the playoff stage, where they faced-off against Curacao.
Rising to the occasion, the young athletes put on a stellar performance, defeating Curacao with a convincing 2-0 scoreline. This victory secured them the 3rd place position in the playoff stage of the competition, capping off their tournament run on a high note.
