Benna Girls eliminated from tournament, Benna Boys suffer second loss

The Under-20 Benna Girls have been eliminated from the Under-20 CONCACAF Championships.

After losing their first two opening bouts, 3-1 versus St. Lucia and 2-0 versus hosts Guyana, the female football team went under to Suriname 5-0 last Friday night.

This is Suriname’s first win of the competition.

Meanwhile, the Under-23 men’s team are also yet to win a match in their Olympic Qualifiers.

Playing in the Dominican Republic, the Benna Boys went under to Puerto Rico 2-1 in their opening bout and fell 4-0 to the host team last Friday.

Both teams will be in action tonight as the Benna Girls play Bermuda in their final match while the Benna Boys will battle St. Lucia in their third encounter.
