Benna Boys in Jamaica for Nation’s League opener

An 18-member senior national men’s football team is currently in Jamaica as they prepare to take on that country’s senior men’s team in League B of the CONCACAF Nation’s League.

The squad includes one overseas-based player, Tyrell Rayne, from the Woodbridge Strikers in Ontario, Canada.

Chad Williams and Eugene Kirwan, both of Hoppers FC are also included and will play alongside Five Islands’ Leroy Graham and Quinton Griffith. Tyrique Tonge (SAP FC), D’Jarie Sheppard (Willikies FC), Juwan Roberts, Murphy Parker and Carl Osbourne, all of Swetes FC, are also representing the twin-island state.

The senior team selections continue with Shavorn Phillip (Liberta FC), Karanja Mack (Parham FC), Molvin James and Mervyn Hazelwood (Tryum FC).

Rounding off the selections are Trevaughn Harriette (Parham FC), D’Andre Bishop (FC Aston Villa), Junior Benjamin (Ottos Rangers) and Jomo Andrew (Old Road FC).

The management staff consists of head coach Michel Dinzey, his assistants Holger Gehrke and Lenny Hewlett. Equipment managers Malcolm Challenger and Janiel Simon, trainer Evans Jones and Cedric Joseph are also part of the management team.

Friday’s contest will start at 8 pm at the Montego Bay Sports Complex. Three days later, on 9th September, Antigua and Barbuda will take on Aruba here at the ABFA Technical Center starting at 3 pm.
