In what was perhaps the most exciting match of the evening in the Jennings Ebenezer Community Sports Football League, Bendals emerged victorious in a close 3-2 contest against Kidz from Brazil at Jennings.
Goal scorers for the Kidz from Brazil’s Maliko Anthony and Francois Joseph, but their efforts were ultimately outdone by the Bendals’ trio of goal-scorers of Isaiah Williams, David Fallen, and Peter Delafonte. The loss has confirmed that the Kidz from Brazil will not progress to the semifinals.
In the other match, Bush and Blunt made a strong statement in their final group match, securing a commanding 3-0 victory over Bolans. The goals were scored by Leroy Graham, Andre Nicholas, and Daniel Bryan.
Four teams have emerged to compete in the semi-finals, scheduled for Wednesday, September 4, 2024. The first match of the evening will kick off at 5:30pm with Bush and Blunt facing off against Green City FC. This match will be followed by a 7pm clash between Alley Top Boyz and Caution.
