Barbados participating in Cuban trade exposition

BRIDGETOWN, Barbados, Oct 27, CMC – Barbados is participating in the FIHAV 2018, a multi-sector trade exposition that gets underway in Cuba next week.
The Barbados Investment and Development Cooperation (BIDC) said it is assisting three local companies to exhibit and promote their products and services during the October 29 to November 2 event in Havana.
It said that the companies will exhibit products ranging from high quality herbs and spices, yogurt dips to renewable energy solutions.
“By participating in FIHAV 2018, the businesses recognise this solidifies their interest in doing business with Cuba and hope to continue to utilize these types of opportunities as part of their entry strategy into new markets.
“In addition to exhibiting, the Barbadian companies will also seek to establish commercial contacts, exchange experiences and receive updates on new technological developments, the BIDC said.
The FIHAV is expected to receive over 150,000 visitors, including high-level foreign officials and business delegations.
