In a keenly contested match on Sunday evening at the JSC Sports Complex, the Bajan Ballers narrowly defeated Mahijah Davis Basketball Academy 1 in the finals by a scoreline of 43-39 to claim the Invitational Tournament title.
After a heavy defeat to the Ballers on Saturday evening, MDBA 1 played a much improved game as Eli Harris and Najee Simons fought back valiantly scoring 16 and 12 points respectively.
Jerome Arthur, Isaac Griffith and Rhys Cozier played crucial roles which contributed to the Ballers success with Arthur scoring 10 points, Griffith nine points and Cozier grabbing 10 rebounds.
The Most Points and Assists Awards were won by Griffith, Cozier won the Most Rebounds Award, Eliott Samuel won the Most Steals and Najee Simons the Most Blocks.
Griffith was named the tournament’s Most Valuable Player.
