Two armed assailants were on the run after they held up and robbed two employees and one patron of the Belle Vue Heights Service Station.
The  employees and a patron were inside when the men entered the convenience store located on the All Saints Road compound and demanded cash.
A representative from the service station who did not wish to be named told OBSERVER media that the employees were left shaken by the robbery.
The representative who was not on the compound at the time of the incident said that the staff reported that the men made off with cash. The woman added that, thankfully, no one was hurt.
The robbers fled the scene in a waiting vehicle.
OBSERVER media understands that police are on the lookout for a black Toyota Voxy that was reportedly the get-away vehicle.
At the time of going to press, no one was in custody in connection with the crime that occurred at about 11 a.m. yesterday.
When this reporter arrived at the West Indies Oil Company (WIOC) service station that is also known as Watson’s Gas Station on Buckley Line, an armed security detail was already on the scene.
Gregory Georges of the WIOC who was also present said that he was there to lend support to the business that was robbed hours earlier.
The service station has been at its current location since around 1986 and a representative said that it had been “a while” since the business had been last robbed.
