The Antigua Public Utilities Authority (APUA) in Collaboration with the Government of Malta is conducting a water usage survey as part of the Authority’s effort to improve its service.

Members of the team from Malta are already on-island and are preparing to conduct the survey from Monday 19th August to Wednesday 21st August, 2024.

The team will be escorted by employees of APUA and will go through several communities in order to speak with homeowners and residents.

The aim of this activity is to collect data on the usage of water in a wide cross-section of households in Antigua and Barbuda.

This data can allow the Authority to understand water usage patterns and discover leaks and inefficiencies in the system.

Further, the data can assist to determine demand trends and ultimately inform the development of the water service infrastructure.

APUA asks that homeowners, residents and the general public offer their support to the survey teams in order for the process to be successful.

This is another step being taken by the Authority in an effort to improve the Water Service in Antigua and Barbuda
