Antigua and Barbuda’s Kamar Thomas won bronze in the Reggae Half Marathon held in Jamaica on Sunday.

Thomas, who represents the Hurricane Power Athletic Club, clocked a time of 1:17.31 (one hour, 17 minutes and 31 seconds) to finish behind of Kemar Leslie (1:15.46) and Garfield Gordon (1:16.16) who were first and second respectively. Both runners represented Jamaica.

Reports are that Thomas gave a good account of himself, staying with the leaders for close to nine miles but developed a hamstring strain and was forced to reduce his pace on the home stretch.

Jomo-Rhys Gilman (1:22.20) and Nolee Guthrie (1:26.31), both of Jamaica, rounded off the top five.
