The Antigua Girls’ High School (AGHS) ended the unbeaten run of Princess Margaret School (PMS) in the Senior Girls Division of the Cool & Smooth-sponsored Inter-schools Basketball Competition when they clashed at the JSC basketball court on Tuesday.

AGHS put on a dominant performance to take the contest by a 24-15 margin, winning by nine points.

Ruchira Daley led the scoring for AGHS with 10 points while Kayla Martin top-scored for PMS, also with 10 points.

In the Senior Girls division, St Anthony’s Secondary School (SASS) enjoyed a blowout 49-9 triumph over Irene B Williams Secondary School (IBWSS). Jenah Andrew led the scoring for the victors with 21 points while Alyssa Jardine sank 20 points, also in the winning effort. 

Meanwhile, in the Mini Boys category, JT Ambrose Primary defeated Potters Primary 10-3. Rayon Nicholas top-scored of JT Ambrose with six points.

TN Kirnon Primary also dominated Combined 32-3. Marcus Thomas was dominant with 20 points while Tavan Henderson sank eight points also in the winning effort.
