National table tennis player, Stuti Kashyap, will represent Antigua and Barbuda at the International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF) Pan American Youth Championships, marking the first time the twin-island state will be represented at this prestigious tournament. The tournament will be held in Lima, Peru from August 31 to September 7.
Kashyap, who recently claimed top honours in the Caribbean Under-15 Girls Table Tennis Championship at the 2024 CRTTF event, continues to pursue excellence. Her exceptional performances have not gone unnoticed; she secured third place in the Under-15 Mixed and Girls Doubles categories.
Demonstrating her skill and determination on the International stage, Kashyap further cemented her reputation by placing third in the Under-17 Girls category at the World Table Tennis (WTT) Contender Series in May and second in the Silicon Valley Open in July.
Kashyap’s Pan American Youth Championships qualification is a significant milestone for Antigua and Barbuda. This tournament is a pivotal step in the nation’s ambitious quest to qualify for several major international events, including the 2025 ITTF World Championships, the 2025 Junior Pan American Games, the 2026 Youth Olympic Games, and ultimately, the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games.
