Antigua and Barbuda finish second at regional netball tournament

Antigua and Barbuda recorded their best finish in over five years in netball nationally over the weekend as they finished second at the Battle of the Saints ranking tournament in St Maarten.

Despite being edged out by the Cayman Islands on Sunday morning by a 46-41 score line, the 11-member team representing Antigua and Barbuda trounced the home team, 45-26, to secure the second-place spot behind of the undefeated Cayman Islands.

The squad comprised of Kizzy Hughes, Kizzy Thomas, Amey Lake, Harmony Edwards, Shermaine Reifer, Naomi Ephraim, Patara Davis, Rayana Regis, Seymone Parks, Sanchez Martin and Adina Andre.

Karen Joseph was the Head Coach.

Antigua and Barbuda faced St Maarten, St Kitts and Nevis and the Cayman Islands in the tournament.

The team is due to arrive home today.
