Antigua and Barbuda is among a list of countries set to benefit from a new pioneering networking project recently launched by the Lucentum Basketball HUB.
Dubbed ‘A Global Initiative to Elevate the Basketball Community’, Lucentum Basketball HUB said the project has been designed to unite basketball clubs, academies, federations and sports-business stakeholders from across the globe.
“This innovative HUB will serve as a central point for collaborations, events, education and shared growth, offering a unique space for basketball organizations to connect, learn and succeed together on and off the court,” the body said in a release.
The basketball federation in Barbados has also been listed as one of the bodies to benefit from the initiative.
The Lucentum Basketball HUB’s objective is to establish a global basketball community where shared knowledge, best practices, and strategic partnerships result in collective and individual success.
Through the HUB, members will have access to networking opportunities, professional webinars and workshops led by highly qualified lecturers, event collaborations, and strategic partnerships with companies that will be invited to present their products and their services to our community.
Benefiting of these tools and the expertise that the members are going to share by presenting their projects, the challenges they are facing and how they respond, Lucentum Basketball HUB aims to support the development of young talents (players and professionals), enhance coaching methods from youth to pro level, promote community engagement, smart marketing, and to facilitate innovation through sports science.
In the same time, it will also open pathways for players to transition from youth to professional levels, ensuring the sustainable growth of basketball as a global sport, and to coaches and professionals to pursue international opportunities through the connections between the HUB members.
Additionally, members will benefit from twice-monthly online workshops and presentations, which will feature coaches, managers, scouts, physical trainers, sports psychologists, and companies developing basketball-related businesses. They will present their services and products to HUB members, offering them exclusive benefits. Examples of potential partners and speakers include BasketNews (the most important basketball media outlet in Europe), Menuba (a nutrition platform coordinated by Ingacio Escribano Ott, Baskonia), EYBL (European Youth Basketball League), Sport Arena (one of the leading 3×3 event organizers) or Tripl3 Shot (Dr. Dish distributor and event organizer), among others.
Lucentum Basketball HUB members will have the opportunity to invite their own collaborators to these conferences and presentations, thus promoting the project at the national level and sharing educational opportunities in sports business with their own community.
Some of the other bodies set to benefit from the initiative includes Basketball Federation of Azerbaijan,
Basketball Federation of Tanzania and Bakken Bears (Denmark).
