Two men allegedly stabbed a young woman multiple times after she expressed displeasure with them showing up to take her stepson out without first discussing the matter with her since he was left in her care.

The victim, a 20-year-old resident of Ottos New Town, was stabbed in the head with a screwdriver and on the hand and neck with a glass bottle.

The incident occurred at her home at approximately 3:45pm on Sunday. As a result of the attack, the woman sustained a gaping wound to the left side of her head which had to be stitched. She also had bruises on her arms and her neck was swollen.

No arrest had been made in this case up to yesterday afternoon, and the assailants are the reputed Godbrothers of the victim’s stepson over whom the altercation ignited.

Meanwhile, in an unrelated case of wounding, Ian “Wacky” Sheppard of All Saints, pleaded not guilty to wounding a female roommate.

He appeared before Magistrate Ngaio Emanuel-Edwards on Monday and was remanded until Wednesday when his alleged victim is expected to attend court for the hearing of the case.

It is alleged that the man struck the woman on the head and back with a stone over the use of a tub almost three weeks ago.

The woman, who has since recovered, told police on July 25, she had her clothing in the tub preparing to wash them, when the accused, who lives at the same house in All Saints, took up the tub and tossed its contents onto the ground.

When the woman questioned why he had done that and demanded he hand over the tub, he allegedly picked up a stone and hit her several times.

The blows burst the victim’s head and bruised her back and she had to be treated at the hospital.
