It was a disappointing day for the volleyball players from All Saints Secondary School (ASSS), as both their male and female teams lost matches on Wednesday afternoon in the ongoing Inter-school Volleyball Competition.

The ASSS females would suffer their first loss of the day at the YMCA Sports Complex to former champions, Antigua Girls’ High School (AGHS) in straight sets, 28-26 25-14.

The male team followed suit just an hour after, also losing in straight sets to Ottos Comprehensive School (OCS), 25-17 25-12.

Meanwhile, in the other match played that day, Sir Novelle Richards Academy (SNRA) defeated Jennings Secondary School (JSS), 25-21 25-16.

A day prior, SNRA’s female team handed Clare Hall Secondary School (CHSS) another loss in the competition, winning 3-2 in the highly competitive match.

The victors faltered in the first set losing 16-25, but would rally in the second to push for a third and final deciding set, winning the second, 25-21.

They would dig deep in their arsenal for that third set and edged out CHSS, 16-14.

Princess Margaret School (PMS) and Pares Secondary School (PSS) would also record wins on Tuesday.

PMS defeated CHSS 25-10 26-24 while Pares defeated Island Academy 25-21 25-13.

In the other matches played on Monday, AGHS defeated CHSS 25-25 25-21-15-11 and OCS defeated ASSS 25-18 25-16 in the female category, while ASSS defeated JSS in the lone male encounter, 25-14 25-22.
