Governor general outrider knocked down

A police officer identified only as “Constable Joseph” was knocked down moments ago (around 2:30 p.m.) not far from Government House where he is stationed.
The officer is said to be the outrider/escort for the governor general.

The accident occurred as the officer on a motorcycle and the driver of another vehicle were negotiating the round-a-bout on Old Parham Road outside Government House and the Antigua Recreation Ground.
Sources on the scene said the officer sustained minor injuries and appeared to have been on the wrong side of the round-a-bout.
