The AIDS Program Manager at the Ministry of Health, Delcora Williams, is urgently appealing to the public to assist in search efforts to locate her missing staff member, Orden David, also known as “Passo.”
David, a resident of Bolans who has worked at the AIDS Secretariat for over 15 years, was last seen on Saturday, January 26 and has not been heard from since.
Speaking on the Observer AM program with host Dr Jacqui Quinn earlier this week, Williams called on citizens to remain vigilant and join the ongoing search efforts.
“You know, we’re very sad about this incident because, you know, he’s somebody’s child. He is somebody’s cousin, family, and he’s also a staff of the AIDS Secretariat, the Ministry of Health, Welfare, Social Transformation and the Environment. So we just want to know where he is.”
Williams described David as a jovial and caring individual who always went above and beyond for the people he served.

“He’s just a nice person to know, a nice person to be with and people that he tests here will always come back and ask for him. He’s a counselor, a tester within the AIDS Secretariat. So if there’s somebody that has a concern from the LGBTQI community, he will deal with it. So they feel comfortable interacting with him because he’s nice like that. He’s very nice, he’s calm, he’s not perfect because none of us are.”
Williams noted that David’s disappearance is completely out of his character. “Not without us knowing … Usually somebody in here knows what he’s going to do because he speaks with them. Well, everybody as far as I know speaks to him. So usually he will say, ‘I’m leaving on Sunday for St Lucia’, and I will see the letter coming asking for time off, emergency leave or whatever — for him to travel. He’s very vocal; he’s very open,” she added.
Since his disappearance, his family, friends, colleagues and members of the Bolans community are tirelessly searching for any signs of his whereabouts.
Williams is appealing for the public’s help, and anyone with tips should call 764-8252 or 764-8250 as well as the Bolans Police Station at 462-1080, or contact the Criminal Investigations Department at 462-3913.
Police are continuing their search for David and a number of persons, including relatives and close friends, have been interviewed. However, no information leading to his location has been received.
The police have also deployed the use of technology and other resources at their disposal to locate the missing Bolans resident.
The 39 year old was last seen wearing a red vest and a pair of grey short jeans. He was driving a black Honda Fit motor car, registration number A60870. The vehicle has not been found.
