AGS Upset State College In School Volleyball Showdown

Antigua Grammar School (AGS) pulled off a big upset in the Inter-School Volleyball league male division on Wednesday afternoon edging out Antigua State College (ASC), 2-1.
A roar of excitement could be heard from the indoor facility as supporters witnessed a highly contested match.
The Semper Virens found themselves down 1-0 as State College drew first blood winning the set, 25-11.
They would however stay true to their school motto, ‘Always Flourish-ing,’ as they regrouped and took the second, 27-25.
At this point, frustration could be seen on the faces of the players of the State College team as they expected to put away AGS in the second.
The frustration would flow over into the deciding set as ASC could not find an answer to cut the momentum of the men in blue, losing the final set, 15-7.
Clare Hall Secondary continue to dominate in the male division, trouncing Ottos Comprehensive in straight sets, 25-14, 25-22.
In the female division, Antigua Girls’ High 2 got the better of AGHS 1 defeating them in straight sets, 25-15, 25-17.
