Patrick C Whyte Cup Male U-20 competition continued on Friday as the battle at the top of the table intensified dramatically, with several teams making significant moves.
All Saints Secondary School (ASSS) delivered a commanding performance in their 6-1 victory over JSS, with Jevaughn Jarvis leading the charge with a double strike. The comprehensive win, which also featured goals from Adonijah Dyett, Wilton Rhodes (Man of the Match), Lester Dupigny, and Amunra Peters, propelled ASSS to 12 points from five matches, inserting them firmly into the title conversation.
Princess Margaret School (PMS) secured a crucial 1-0 victory over ABICE through Greg Williams’ 61st-minute strike. This vital win moves PMS to 12 points from five matches, placing them among the leading pack with a goal difference of +13.
ABICE, who entered the matchday among the frontrunners, suffered their second defeat of the season, dropping points in a tightly contested match against PMS. They now sit with nine points from five matches and a goal difference of +10.
Antigua State College (ASC) made their own statement with an emphatic 5-0 victory over SASS. The commanding performance, featuring a brace from Railique Browne and goals from Dennison Stevens, Jahquanda George, and Nadre Thomas, has boosted ASC to 12 points from five matches.
The current standings for the top four teams now show an incredibly tight race with four sitting on 12 points. PMS are in first place with a goal difference of 13, ASC are second with a goal difference of 10, ASSS are third with eight points while AGS are fourth with a difference of five goals.
