The Antigua Girls’ High School 3 (AGHS) suffered double losses on Monday afternoon in the Inter-School Volleyball league at the YMCA Indoor Volleyball facility.
The ladies in blue were edged out by Ottos Comprehensive School (OCS), 2-1.
Losing the first set to OCS, 25-19, AGHS 3 rebounded to take the second, 21-25.
They however found it difficult to produce back-to-back wins and fell to OCS, losing the third and final set, 15-13.
Princess Margaret School (PMS) made light work of AGHS 1 when they met on Monday as well, handing their opponents their second loss of the day.
PMS trounced AGHS 1 in straight sets, winning the match 25-18 and 25-13.
AGHS would however find themselves in the winner’s circle later that day as their second team edged out Antigua State College (ASC), 2-1.
Drawing first blood, 25-7, AGHS 2 soon realised that ASC would not go down quietly.
As the second set got underway, both teams were pushed to the limit but ASC would keep hope alive snatching it, 26-28.
AGHS 2 would however claim the third and final set after scoring three consecutive points, 15-11.
