The country’s Attorney General Steadroy Cutie Benjamin is admitting that the government is not doing enough to curb the use of unlicensed firearms in Antigua & Barbuda.
There have been several shooting incidents over the past few weeks, the latest was on Thursday when a man was shot dead while his son and nephew also received gunshot wounds.
Benjamin tells OBSERVER media that the government is currently seeking ways to beef up security at the country’s port to help curtail the situation.
He did not want to say exactly what plan is being formulated.
