Attorney General Steadroy “Cutie” Benjamin is said to be doing much better following a freak accident at his home Tuesday night which resulted in him in spending a very short time at the Mount St. John’s Medical Centre (MSJMC).

Benjamin told OBSERVER media yesterday that apart from a few cuts and bruises, he was not seriously hurt.

As it relates to the accident, he explained that “I parked my vehicle in my garage, forgot that it was not in park so I tried to stop the car from going back and was caught between the door.”

He said he was dragged for a few yards and received a few cuts and bruises.

Benjamin said he was taken to the hospital and was subsequently discharged after a medical examination was conducted.

The AG thanked everyone who expressed concern about his health and well-being.
